Women Love Show Contestants

The search for love in reality shows seems more like a search for lust than a search for love. The women contestants in these shows that are all gorgeous and many of them have made alterations to their bodies with plastic surgery. The men that are searching for "love," have the choice of who they want to date, marry, or just be seen with and it seems that the woman who is the best looking, the skinniest, and has the biggest and best plastic surgery job wins the challenge every time. The message that is given off by these shows is that in order for a girl to have a chance with a guy, they need to be super model skinny, covered in makeup, and have plastic surgery to enhance their look. This look of being fake appeals to many if not all guys but it shows lust and not love. Many girls take drastic measures to look like the women in these love shows. Often, girls will even go as far as making themselves throw up to stay skinny or to lose weight. A girl should not cover up or change the real her unless it is what she wants in her life and not as a result of what the world wants her to look like or expects her to look like.

The Celebrity Search For Love

Today more and more reality shows are celebrities searching for their "soul mate." First of all, as a celebrity, they should have no problem trying to find someone to date or marry whether it be lust or love. Many people would act like they loved any celebrity just to get the chance to live the celebrity life. I mean, I would not blame the average Joe or average Jane if they had the chance to meet a celebrity and live the life with them why would they not take advantage of that situation. My question is, what is the celebrity in these shows expecting to get out of these situations? The people in these shows know nothing about the celebrity they are getting a chance to date or marry other than what they hear on the television and radio. They do not know the celebrity at all at a personal level and do not get a chance to be able to get to know the true person that the celebrity is due to their amount of time together. Also, the camera and other contestants are always around. People can be one person when they are by themselves and a completely different person when they are around people or in the spotlight. These celebrity love challenges show that it is alright to be dating more than one person at a time and it gives the message that it should be the way things are in the real world. As a result, I believe that the youth of the world and whoever else watches these shows is more apt to live double lives dating more than one person at a time without a guilty conciounse what so ever. This will eventually lead to people believing that committing adultry is completely normal and the thing to do. Some shows where this celebrity love search happens are: "A Shot of Love, Rock of Love, Real Chance at Love, and I Love New York."
